BLOOD represents and nourishes the body’s STRUCTURE/FORM. Blood is a dense, structural form of Qi. Blood is responsible for the nourishment and lubrication of skin, vessels, bones, sinews, hair and all the organs and tissues. Blood nourishes Qi. Blood is Yin in nature.
When there is not enough, or a DEFICIENCY OF BLOOD, the body may react with symptoms of underproduction of Blood such as: anemia, dizziness, blurred vision, numbness and delayed/scanty/absence of menstruation.
In order to balance a Blood Deficiency, it is advisable to EAT foods that promote and tonify Blood.
